No domingo dia 14/04, foi realizada no Costão do Santinho Resort & Spa uma visita técnica com o presidente da Sociedade Mundial sobre Envelhecimento, Dr. Gangadharam, natural da Índia. Também participaram desta visita aos espaços para eventos do Costão o assessor para assuntos internacionais da Assembléia Legislativa do Estado de Santa Catarina, Diego Martins, Carolina Ramalho, do Florianópolis Convention & Visitors Bureau e Adriane Webber, diretora da Pires & Associados (foto acima).

Este trabalho visa apresentar Florianópolis como candidata para receber a Conferência Mundial sobre Envelhecimento de 2018, evento que em 2012 aconteceu em Praga, 2014 será em Dubai e em 2016 deve ser em Copenhagen. No entato, a capital catarinense tem a possibilidade de sediar um evento menor da Sociedade sobre o Envelhecimento ainda no segundo semestre de 2014.
